[Drawing] HAPPY BIRTHDAY GAYEST GAY???

Today's Vopspspspsps's birthday and it cements how long I've been around. At the same time, there's been so much change (for you, for me). I usually write, not really draw, I guess, or like, in the past I mean. And this year I found myself wondering what message I'd add to the gift. Funnily enough, although I haven't specifically reread any of my past letters or anything, especially not the ones I've physically sent since it's not like it's even possible, I somewhat get the feeling I've taken this distant yet friendly//caring tone, and maybe this also contributed to the dynamic that exists today.

It's hard for me to say much because I'm in the process of finding myself, but yesterday I realised how much I've maintained some kind of distance to most people, perhaps because I've been uneasy with the idea of possibily being relatable to anyone (it's a speculation though). Still, I wish to bridge that gap that we both play a part in. I cannot act on your own feelings of fear; I can kill the walls I've put up before, because although it's true that I address you as an equal, I don't think it means I've put myself fully within reach.

I guess getting to know myself also means in part getting to rediscover me in social relations to my friends. And so you are, friend. It's not just that I want to see you grow, like someone gazing distantly, it's that I wish to be by your side and see you live. And I wish to take part in it too.

So Spiral Knights fanart in a way is appropriate. We've been playing recently and it's the most fun I've had in a while. We should do some more. Maybe we should recruit friends on this too some time. Well, extends a hand, and not a paw. Happy birthday, uh, someday perhaps you'll get to eat my famous vanilla crêpes.
